Contest Overview: WFNX-FM will host a minimum of eight (8) in-studio
appearances with to be determined FNX Artist(s). WFNX-FM and the Boston Phoenix
will announce each appearance in advance. WFNX-FM and the Boston Phoenix will
invite up to 10 contestants randomly from all entries for each of the in-studio
appearances to be a guest inside the VW Green Room during the appearance.
Eligibility: The “VW Green Room” (sweepstakes) is only open to legal residents
of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island who are at least
eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited or
restricted by law. Employees, officers and directors of Phoenix
Media/Communications Group and Volkswagen and their respective parent
companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, participating vendors,
promotion or advertising agencies, or any other person or entity involved with
the design, production, execution or distribution of the Sweepstakes and their
immediate families (parents, children, siblings and spouses, whether or not the
individual lives in the same household) and those living in the same household
as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in
the Sweepstakes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these
Official Rules and Sponsor’s and judge’s decisions, which are final and binding
in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon
fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
Timing: Sweepstakes begin 12:01 AM Eastern Standard time (“EST”) July 1st,
2006 and ends at 11:59 PM EST June 30th, 2007 (the “Promotion
Period”).
How to Enter Contest: There are two (2) ways to enter and you may enter no more
than once per day:
Enter through Text Messaging: If you have a text messaging capable device, send
“VW” to 22122 anytime throughout the promotion period. Once you send the text
message, you will be automatically entered into the sweepstakes and will
receive a confirmation text message. You will be charged for each text message
sent or received from your handset according to the terms in you Service
Agreement with your carrier.
Enter Online: To enter online, go to www.vwgreenroom.com
and participate in the Music Trivia questionnaire. Complete the entire trivia
to be entered into the sweepstakes.
Subsequent entries in the same day from the same person, mobile phone or email
address will be disqualified.
Drawings and Notification of Winners: A random drawing to award the guest spots
to each VW Green Room appearance will be conducted by WFNX-FM two (2) days
prior to each VW Green Room appearance. Potential winners will be notified by
phone and/or email. If potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable
effort has been exerted, if he/she is found to be ineligible, if he/she cannot
or does not comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner is
disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected at Sponsor’s
sole discretion.
Odds of Winning: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries
received during the Promotion Period. There is a limit of one prize per person
every thirty days. No cash alternative, substitution, assignment or transfer of
prize permitted, unless prize becomes unavailable, in which case a prize of
equal or greater value will be substituted by Sponsor at Sponsor’s sole
discretion.
General Sweepstakes Conditions: Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules
and all federal, state and local laws (collectively “Rules and Laws). Winners
consent to use of their name and likeness for advertising/publicity purposes
without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
Entrants hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Phoenix
Media/Communication Group, Volkswagen and their respective parent companies,
subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates, agencies, employees, officers,
directors, shareholders and agents from any and all claims, demands, losses,
injuries, deaths, expenses or other liabilities, either at law or in equity,
whether known or unknown, arising out of participation in this Sweepstakes or
any portion hereunder. Sponsor assumes no liability or responsibility for
damages, losses o r injury resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or
any portion thereof, or the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the
prizes. Sponsor is neither responsible for late, lost, mutilated, incomplete or
ineligible entries, nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission,
theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alternation of entry
materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic,
computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations by Sponsor on
account of technical problems, transmission problems or traffic congestion on
the Internet, at any website, in connection with any wireless accepted. Mass
entries, or entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated fees
incurred by it with any Internet Service Provider and or wireless carrier.
Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered will be void. Any
attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is
unlawful and subject to legal action.
